Views from Sennefer coffee house in Qurna. These ancient views will still be there but apparently the coffee house /hotel will be gone - rumors tell it will probably be demolished today. It was such a lovely place to eat or enjoy coffee, in peace, which is rare in Luxor. As you can see, the day these photos were taken, there is nobody in sight. The temple in the second picture is the mortuary temple of Ramses II (also known as Ramesseum).

Somebody left in a hurry. A car on the west bank of Luxor. Behind you can see a part of the old village Qurna which has been mostly demolished, they say underneath it are lying many ancient treasures awaiting to be found. Behind the hills is the Valley of the kings.
